Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 In-Depth Review: The Priciest Yet?

Amazfit has released its latest watch, the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2, which is basically a bigger and more battery-laden version of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro released last fall. They also swapped out the flashlight’s secondary call for green LED instead of a red LED. Further, Amazfit has added some new software features, such as a ClimbPro-like mode and improved map details layers. Oh, and again, lots of battery improvement tweaks. Seriously, the tagline for this watch should just be ‘The big and the battery’.

As always with Amazfit, the end result tends to be a mix of ‘Hot dang, well done on hardware’ with ‘Sigh, these new features don’t actually work’. And to save you some time, that’s again the case here. Nonetheless, I’ve been putting it through its paces across runs, rides, and more – all to find out where these limits exist, so you can make the decisions you need to make.

Now, at the moment, I’m still finalizing my written review, though my video review is already up (above). As always, these two are basically twins of each other, I’ve just gotta finish doing all the tappity-tap of the written side. This post will magically update to that full written review here shortly. But I figured I’d get you the video for now.
