Intel Arc launches on March 30

The company published a first teaser for the upcoming launch of its next-gen discrete GPUs.

The Xe-HPG based graphics chips for laptops will soon be available, Intel confirms on Twitter. A teaser posted by the official Intel Graphics account shows an undisclosed laptop featuring the Arc A300M GPU. The company is expected to launch two GPUs, including A350M and A370M, both designed for low-power and thin laptop designs.

The leaks have shown those GPUs running alongside Intel 12th Gen Core Alder Lake-P and Alder Lake-H series, however thus far there was no trace of more powerful A500 and A700 GPU series. Series that will undoubtedly be more interesting to gamers.

In response to one of the followers, Intel confirmed that the March 30th event will only cover Arc GPUs for laptops. Furthermore, the company confirmed that those devices will be available for sale on that date. At this moment, we expect at least two laptops to launch on this day, including Samsung Book2 Pro or Acer Swift X laptops as leaked by major retailers around the world.

Intel is now expected to launch a more-capable discrete Arc DG2-512EU GPU by the end of next quarter. Both the 128EU and 512EU variants are coming to desktop platforms as well, which is a major development in the PC gaming market.
